Why I blog.

Humm....
Curious why I blog?

I started "blogging" before I knew what that was on a geocities website about 17 years ago!  When I got pregnant I used to write about milestones and then my growing family. But as the kids have gotten older, I moved away from that to respect their privacy.  So now it's mostly me passing on lil things I've learned and think others might appreciate.  You'll find recipes, organizing tips, or random thoughts by me as I journey along in life.  I'm not stellar at any one thing like some bloggers so I'm all over the place - doing anything I do with joy is my endeavor!  Some say... "Joy in the journey".

I am a Christian and try to live my life pleasing to God.  I heard it described as "love-based living" and I like that sound of that.  I am actively working on loving better.  That is the underlining theme of my life and hopefully my blog.

What is love though?  What am I aiming for?

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

I fail daily.
Patience eludes me.
Kindness is convenient.
And I demand my own way far too much.
But I try.  I pray daily.  I reset my focus.  And I actively work on being more loving.

In the meantime, I am beyond grateful for God's unconditional love and for my family & friends who loves me despite my flaws.

Welcome to my little spot on the internet as I share stuffs. {typo intended}
Smiles,
Mary
