Valentine's Day decor

Why is that after Christmas, the decor that was once magical and nostalgic becomes clutter and a source of stress?  I don't know but we've been putting it away this week (slowly due to illness). I have been inspired to decorate for Valentine's Day with the help of my beautiful daughter.  Today we worked on the mantel.  Good-bye nutcrackers and hello LOVE!  We framed a nice sign, put candy in a jar, added a bear and made a banner.

We made the banner with stuff I already have.  Paper, die cut machine, adhesive letters, jewels, ribbon and lace.  A close up:

Vienna wanted to add her own touch so she added a bear holding a homemade sign that says: "Happy Valentine's Day".

We looked on Pinterest for some great ideas and found this printable which is from 1 Corinthians in the Bible:

In November we did a Thankful Tree, that Vienna blogged about here, so we changed out the tags from things we were thankful for to people we love.  This was done with a punch and scrap paper.

Vienna took it upon herself to hide itty bitty cupids around the house.  She has this punch and said it's a little game.

She cracks me up.  It's fun to have someone to decorate with!
