Recycled containers

With summer fast approaching, I've been saving little plastic containers for the kids to play with outside.  I did this last year and it was great for bugs and the water table.  But there has to be MORE uses for these things!  I gotta go on Pinterest and look.  In the meantime, anyone out there have some good reusing ideas?

We keep those little plastic applesauce bowls because they are perfect size for kids' dipping sauces. Most of our other plastics go to the kids' play kitchen. And big Country Crock margarine tubs we keep for popcorn tubs or big leftovers like stew, spaghetti, or chili since tomato-based foods often stain clear plastics. we'll have to keep some for outside play too, that's a good idea!

I use a 64 oz yogurt container for my food scraps that get tossed into my "green" yard waste bin. (food scraps & pizza boxes are welcome.)

one of the 32 oz containers is used for gathering box tops.
