Project 365. Pics 30-33. And supper for kids

There is so much talk of health and nutrition these days. Perhaps due to the new year or just more and more people realize the importance of a healthier lifestyle. I've been making small changes lately (thx to blogs, mentor Robin and motivating friends) and think it's important to share ideas! Hence this blog!
When my husband works late, I typically don't cook. I heat up food - mostly processed. But in an effort to change, I've been going to the store more regularly for fresh fruit and vegetables. Supper tonight was simple... cut up cantaloupe, deli turkey meat, cottage cheese (kids 1st time) and left over beans and rice. I didn't have the turkey but a baked potato with cottage cheese on it instead. And can I tell you how successful (meaning they didn't pick and actually ate a good amount) it was! Vienna liked cottage cheese! And Lance ate one bite in exchange for gum following supper. I'm just happy he tries new things and he ate everything else. They ate all their fruit thanks to the toothpicks I gave them. When they have fun tools to eat with, it seems they eat more. So that is my tip for young children who can handle the pointy sticks.
And that is pic# 30 in my project 365.

Another hot topic lately among friends on Facebook is the special single cup brewer:

Pic# 32: Almost ready!
Pic#33: I learned not to put the lens too close to the actual coffee. Steamed up on me! LOL... see I'm learning.

Sounds like you are doing well with the healthy changes you are making, and I am sure it is refreshing that your kids are liking it as well :) Enjoy your new coffee maker!
